Taking into account that the MEN has not made any publications that serve as a guide to the teaching of English in elementary schools, it was identified the need to design teaching materials including methodological proposals aligned with the 21st century skills. The primary goal of this project is to help not only teachers but also 5th graders so that they can achieve the corresponding English language competences.
This project will be presented in the form of a booklet with four modules. Each one of the modules will contain authentic, meaningful and memorable readings, audios and projects for the students to accomplish. It also includes a lesson plan for the teacher as well as some methodological suggestions to carry out within the classroom. Last but not least, this project will have access to extra- material online or in printable version so that the content reviewed through the lesson can be practiced.
