The Children of the Forest

The Children of the Forest is an online interactive audio book aimed at beginner-level students between the ages of 8 and 14. It is based on the Colombian folk tale: La Madremonte, and uses basic language structures to practice English while learning about Colombian culture. Additionally, it contains illustrations, audio, and audio effects to facilitate and make the reading enjoyable.
It was created by Daniela Patiño, Karol A. Blanco, Nicole G. Duarte, and Juan S. Guzman for the ELTPeadia project. At the end of the book you will find a glossary and activities to work with the students, such as reading comprehension exercises, discussion questions, among others.
The main feature of this audiobook is to be read online, without the need for downloads since it is published on the web.
